Horror Movies For October #19

Traveling back to Italy for Dario Argento‘s 1977 masterpiece, “Suspiria“. Yup, masterpiece. It is truly an original with its use of anamorphic lenses on an intense use of  the colors red and blue mixed with an amazing score by Goblin, which only enhanced the story of a coven of witches who run a dance school. Obviously the inspiration for Lifetimes “Dance Moms”. With Jessica Harper perfectly cast as the lead, right after discussing wheat in “Love and Death“, this is a must see every Halloween season. Even if it’s just for the bizarrely violent opening sequence.

Peace Skip,   Thank you.   Yet another gem with one of the all-time great titles: “Suspiria.”   And yes, it’s a capital selection for our Halloween Season .   I haven’t seen this one in decades.   Dario Argento!   ‘Nuff said.   Cordially,   Che!

I could not agree more Skip! Suspiria’s use of space and color, reflects Dario’s love for German Expressionism films. Truly a masterpiece! I couldn’t agree more!
